Global Mission Committee Holds Adult Education Hour Discussions

As a follow-up to the January 8 cross-cultural potluck discussion on global interests of the church, the Global Mission Committee is hosting the following discussions during the Adult Education Hour, 9:45-10:45 a.m., in the Church House before worship:
 
February 26 – Brown Memorial’s exploration with Cuba (2015, 2016, 2017 trips); and discussion on the Baltimore Presbytery’s partnership with the El Centro Presbytery in Cuba. Fred Cogswell, Jody Shaw and Deb Baer will co-lead. View photos from the trip.
 
April 23 – What does Earth Day mean to us? How do we address environmental issues? McKay Jenkins will lead.
 
April 30 – What is a Sanctuary Church? Barbara Cook, with Brown Memorial’s Hispanic ministries, will lead.
 
May 7 – What is the current state of climate change? Forrest Hall will lead.
 
May 14 –  What’s going on now with Standing Rock and the Dakota Access Oil Pipeline; and the Apology to the Native Americans?  Chrystie Adams will lead.
