This spectacular concert will feature famed organists Marie-Louise Langlais, Eileen Morris Guenther (past president of the AGO), Henry Lowe and Michael Britt playing Brown Memorial’s 1931 Skinner Organ, Opus 839, IV/45. In addition, works by Daniel Gawthrop, Alfred Fedak and JoyAnne Amani Richardson, commissioned in John Walker’s honor, will be premiered by Brown Memorial’s Chancel Choir and Soloists.

John Walker, president of the American Guild of Organists, is Minister of Music Emeritus at Brown Memorial. He previously served at Shadyside Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh and The Riverside Church in New York City. Walker is a member of the organ faculty at Peabody Conservatory of Music and Distinguished Visiting Professor of Organ at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
