Worship is the main act of the Christian community of faith. Every Sunday we gather to encounter God. We bring our voices, our music, the preacher’s interpretive reflection on a Bible passage, our prayers of thanksgiving, our prayers of request, our hopes, our dreams, our pain and sometimes even our protest. But we always join together with the expectation that God will meet us in worship. This kind of encounter with the Holy is transformative.

Music is an integral part of our worship experience. Music communicates in ways that are deeper than words alone. It elevates our encounter with God, knits us together as a community and shapes our faith with a language that is remembered week to week.
We strive to involve the community in all aspects of worship. We encourage children to be present in worship (though nursery care is available for parents of young children). Participants volunteer to serve as greeters and liturgists who lead the service. Music ensembles lead the congregation in sung prayer.
The worship committee regularly evaluates worship with an eye toward unleashing creativity, expanding participation and connecting the community to God and each other.
