POSTPONED: Canoe Trip on the Susquehanna
Apr 7, 2018 at 8:30 AM
Organizer: McKay Jenkins

DUE TO ANTICIPATED WINTRY WEATHER THIS SATURDAY, THIS EVENT WILL BE RESCHEDULED, STAY TUNED...

The Brown Green Team is pleased to announce itS first congregational field trip: a canoe trip on the Susquehanna River with guides from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation! This day-long experience will introduce participants to the majesty and complexity of the Susquehanna watershed, the main fresh-water trunk line of the Chesapeake.

Among many other things we will explore: beautiful islands and wildlife (including bald eagles and great blue herons); hydroelectric dams; and myriad other interconnected issues that directly affect the Chesapeake Bay.

We will have room for about 25 participants, with preference given to middle and upper school youth, along with adult chaperones. The trip is fully funded by a grant from Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake, and is free of charge.
