Please join (me) Pastor Michele at the following two-day Bible study series on Tuesday, July 28th and Wednesday, July 29th at 10 am with our guest preacher from Sunday, July 26th, the Rev. Dr. Karoline Lewis. Each year since 1997, the Speakman Fund, honoring the memory of Frederick Speakman, has brought inspirational preachers and teachers to the Massanetta Bible Conference. This year, the Speakman Fund will support several online events beginning with two in July.
Rev. Dr. Karoline Lewis was our preacher on July 26th and she will be leading an online Bible Study entitled, "Knowing a Christian When You See One." Here is her description of the sessions which will be held at 10:00 a.m. (Eastern) on July 28 and 29.
"With life as we have known it in turmoil, we share more in common with the first followers of Jesus than ever before. God showing up in Jesus turned the world upside down for those initial believers and changed the way they lived. What can they teach us about the Christian faith that might give us courage and hope in these unprecedented and unnerving days? Our study will focus on five key attributes of the faithful articulated in the Gospel of John that will encourage and empower us all." Those that participate are asked to consider donating to Massanetta for the sessions, particularly church professionals who might be using these sessions for an excellent continuing education opportunity.
