We had so much fun baking together on the retreat that we're doing it again just in time for Communion Sunday on 11/1; freeze 1 loaf and give 2 away.
Challah is the perfect yeast dough for Communion bread — easy (all by hand!), beautiful, and connects us to our Jewish roots. We'll start the dough together, receive instructions and inspiration for how to later punch down, shape/braid, and bake the dough on your own time (later that afternoon or on Sunday morning if you refrigerate the dough.) Recipe provided; you’ll just need flour, yeast, oil, sugar, salt.
