BUILD Action *VIRTUAL*
Sep 18, 2021 at 1:00 PM
Organizer: Michele Ward

In July, more than 100 BUILD leaders met in-person for the first time in 18 months to share our stories of the last year. We discovered that our COVID emergency food deliveries plus our testing and vaccine work had provided a rich listening opportunity. Our neighbors told us about their problems with hunger, jobs, housing, crime, healthcare, internet access, and transportation, to name a few.

Now, having listened, we must take the critical next step in our organizing cycle—we must do the research that will ultimately guide our actions and build our collective power to address the problems that prevent so many of our families from thriving. With hundreds of millions of federal dollars destined for Baltimore, the stakes are high. Will this investment serve the people who need it most? What role will you play in ensuring this money builds generational wealth for the folks who have been denied access to previous federal investments?

Join us on September 18th to:

  • Reaffirm a commitment to a strong working relationship between BUILD and Mayor Scott
  • Learn how to move from problems to solutions to action
  • Commit to one another to conduct targeted research actions

We look forward to seeing you at this important action and thank you for your continued commitment to a better Baltimore.
