SUPPORT OUR STUDENTS

Funding for the program comes from a range of supporters, including Brown Memorial. Eighty percent is raised through generous donations from individuals and foundations committed to advancing literacy and helping the children of Baltimore City succeed.

Consider volunteering to tutor. Tutors commit roughly 90 minutes a week during the public school year. Come visit us to experience the joy and magic that occurs daily.

Support Literacy in Baltimore City Using Pre-Tax Dollars Through United Way

The Brown Memorial Tutoring Program is now set up for workplace giving.

Members who support nonprofits through their employer’s United Way Campaign Drive can search for and donate to the Tutoring Program via United Way’s ePledge site using our special designation number, Book # 3122.

Your contribution will support the Brown Tutoring operating budget, helping Baltimore City school children learn to overcome their struggles with essential reading and writing skills.
