During the 2017-2018 school year, Brown Tutoring continued to sharpen literacy skills for academically at-risk Baltimore City elementary students, with the aim to awaken in them a love of reading. Our young friends, as in years past, have made great strides in advancing their reading grade levels, and in the process have developed new study skills and increased their self-confidence. Our students worked incredibly hard at the individualized goals set for them by their dedicated tutors-those who serve week-in and week-out with only their student’s progress in mind. 

Our 85 students are to be commended, as are the many individuals, families, foundations and of course, the tutors themselves, for supporting Brown Tutoring’s mission for another successful year. We applaud you all.
