It’s that time to start thinking about kids camps for summer. Every June, Brown Memorial supports the Soaring Eagles Learning Camp (SELC) at Eutaw-Marshburn Elementary School. Reading is a very important part of SELC. Each summer the learning camp has a Book Nook that provides books for the campers to take home and keep as their very own.
You can help by bringing NEW children’s books for grades K – 5 to church to donate for the Book Nook, managed by Bonnie Schneider and Sandra Fink.
The collection of book donations will begin in May and continue through the second week of June. There will be a marked container at the church entrance near the children’s toys and activities.
Money donations toward the purchase of new books can also be made. Place donations in the offering plate marked “Book Drive” or mail your contribution to the church office 1316 Park Avenue; 21217 Attn: Sharon Lucas
