Tutoring Program Celebrates Christmas

A Brown member and volunteer tutor stands with a student and his Christmas present.

It was party time during all eight of the Brown Memorial Tutoring Program’s tutoring sessions during the week of Dec. 14. The children created beautiful ornaments for their loved ones, sang karaoke Christmas carols, ate goodies prepared by the tutors, and heard a favorite Christmas story.

The children also received harmonicas from their tutors and a gift book from the program. As he unwrapped his gift, one 4th grader summed up the joy felt by all – “This has been the best Christmas ever!”
