Adult Education Hour Focuses on “Rhythms for the Journey”

A church member looks at the Bible during the Adult Education Hour.

During Lent, the Adult Education class on Sunday mornings will take a break from its lectionary based curriculum to delve into our “Rhythms for the Journey” theme. We’ll be introducing a new spiritual practice concept each week that we hope you’ll explore further throughout the week using our daily email reflections. All classes meet on the second floor of the Fellowship Building in Room 200/201 at 9:45 a.m.

 

MAR. 17, DISCERNMENT: Meditation as a means to discernment. McKay Jenkins will lead the class through a meditation exercise with insights from his own experiences. The Meditation Circle will meet with the Adult class this week.

 

MAR. 24, HEALING: Artist and activist Peter Brunn will share how his Love Letter Campaign has brought healing to his life and the life of others.

 

MAR. 31, HOSPITALITY: Offering ourselves to others. Reflect with Rick and Jeanne Thomas on the ways in which we give and receive hospitality in this community and beyond.

 

APR. 7, HONORING THE BODY: All bodies can move. Chair Yoga with The Rev. Gretchen Van Utt. Rev. Van Utt teaches yoga for people with chronic illness, arthritis, and osteoporosis.
