Associate Pastor Search Underway

The empty pulpit in the sanctuary at Brown Memorial Park Avenue Presbyterian.

The Associate Pastor Nominating Committee is hard at work on filling Brown Memorial’s vacant Associate Pastor position.

Session and the Presbytery’s Committee on Ministry has approved the completed Ministry Information Form—the form that describes the position and the church—and it is now on the Presbyterian Church Leadership Connection website. Interested candidates are invited to submit a Personal Information Form (PIF) through the CLC system.

As described in the Ministry Information Form and job description, the Associate Pastor will share in preaching and devote significant time to hands-on involvement in youth ministry. Joining a highly collaborative, flexible team, the Associate Pastor will share in the administrative and organizational work of the congregation. The Associate Pastor will value the members of the congregation as both learners and teachers and as co-leaders in the church’s mission, helping each other to learn and to grow in spiritual practice, leadership and engagement.

Members and friends of Brown Memorial can help by spreading word about the position and referring interested candidates to the CLC web site for detailed information. Candidates may also contact the committee at [email protected].

Please continue to keep the Associate Pastor Nominating Committee in your prayers as they continue their work.

Committee members include Amy Bonitz Palmer, Hilbert Byers, Omar Calderon, June Fletcher-Hill (Chair), Carol Graves, Katherine Hinckley-Jenkins, Tom Inglesby, Carolina Mills, Spencer Scaglione, and Andrew Winters (Secretary and Communications Coordinator).
