"March for our Lives" logo

Folks from Brown Memorial, Corpus Christi, Memorial Episcopal and Light Street Presbyterian are joining forces in support of the March For Our Lives movement on March 24 where, according to the March organizers, kids and families “will take to the streets of Washington DC to demand that their lives and safety become a priority and that we end gun violence and mass shootings in our schools today.”

Brown Memorial members will gather at 9 a.m. in the Mt Royal Elementary School parking lot (121 McMechen St.) to carpool to the Greenbelt Metro Station. Others can meet the group at the Greenbelt Metro Station between 10-10:30 a.m., before boarding the metro to the march.

Middle or high school youth attending without a parent must have signed permission slips

Many Presbyterians, including the PC(USA)’s Office of Public Witness, will be participating.  New York Avenue Presbyterian Church will be open to provide hospitality to marchers.
