Every fourth Sunday this church year we have featured “Ignite” presentations over lunch after worship. This month we are holding our final Ignite event of the year. If you haven’t attended one yet, now is the time. The presentations are just seven minutes long and are given by members of our local community on subjects that ignite their passion.
Ignite Talks are taking media by storm, similar to TED Talks but shorter and accompanied by visual images. Our congregation is full of amazing knowledge, stories and experiences, making our Assembly Room the perfect setting for Ignite Talks.
We’ll hear three great presentations on Sunday, April 30, 1-2 p.m., over a catered lunch. Suggested donation is $5/person:
Lynn Heller: Lynn will present about climate change and low-income access to solar energy.
Shirley Parry: Shirley will speak about campus organizing.
Mike Reed: Mike will present about his heroes in the law and how they inspired him in challenging times.
Greta Finney: Greta will share about her experience taking a bike ride across America last summer.
