On. Jan. 15, we are delving deeper into our cross-neighborhood, One Baltimore work and also keeping in mind Rev. Martin Luther King’s observation that the Sunday morning worship hour is the most segregated hour in America.

We have accepted an invitation from our closest Presbyterian neighbor, Madison Avenue Presbyterian (2110 Madison Avenue), to worship with them at 10 a.m.

J. Herbert Nelson, the Stated Clerk of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), will be the guest preacher. Nelson is the  PC(USA)’s top ecclesiastical and constitutional officer, representing the denomination in interfaith and ecumenical settings. He is the first African American to hold the position. Learn more about his appointment at the June 2016 General Assembly meeting.

As a result, we will not hold any of our usual morning activities on Jan. 15. Our shuttle service will operate from Mt. Royal Elementary to Madison Avenue. Download a parking pass.
