Youth Group Holds Meeting with No Boundaries Coalition

Youth from Brown Memorial gather with members of the No Boundaries Coalition.

Twenty-four young people from Brown Memorial, Corpus Christi and Memorial Episcopal traveled from Bolton Hill to Sandtown-Winchester to meet with 10 youth organizers from the No Boundaries Coalition on Sunday, Jan. 21.

Brown Memorial youth have a 2.5 year history of partnering with young people from No Boundaries to build power for youth in Baltimore City. The No Boundaries Coalition is a resident-led advocacy organization building a unified and empowered Central West Baltimore across the boundaries of race, class and neighborhood.

After ice breakers and some teaching, the youth split into small groups to ask what young people need in this moment in Baltimore City. The group is invited to a youth assembly on Feb. 10, 3-4:30 p.m. at St. Peter Claver Church to ratify the platform of issues that the young people assemble after all of their listening is complete.
