Q&A: A Family Reflects on the Confirmation Experience

Brown Memorial for the first time this year offered an adult confirmation class, in addition to a confirmation class for 8th and 9th graders. This resulted in some parents and children going through confirmation at the same time, including Will and Annika. The father and daughter share some reflections here about their confirmation experience, ahead of Confirmation Sunday on May 21.

Brown Memorial and the Baltimore Youth Organizing Project (BYOP) Hold the Mayor to Her Promises

Since 2015, Brown Memorial has provided staff support and financial contributions to the Baltimore Youth Organizing Project (BYOP), a youth-led community organizing initiative created by BUILD and the No Boundaries Coalition. This month, BYOP has been meeting with Baltimore’s Mayor and the City Council to advocate for youth jobs and after-school program funding.

Holy Week Activities and Services

During Holy Week, April 9-16, our activities and services will include a Palm Procession on Palm Sunday, a Taize service, a Maunday Thursday supper and service, a Good Friday Tenebrae service, and an Easter sunrise service followed by the regular 11 a.m. worship service.
