Tutoring Program Celebrates Student Achievement in 2015/16

With the school year ended, the Brown Memorial Tutoring Program said goodbye – for now – to the 83 first through fifth graders who came each week from neighboring city schools for reading and literacy instruction. On May 24, 2016, 190 people including students and their families, tutors and staff from three Baltimore City Public Schools, gathered together to celebrate the close of the program’s 52nd year.

Help Us Bake 30 Casseroles by June 12

This month our church community is donating 30 Zippy Beef or Mac and Cheese casseroles to Our Daily Bread, an organization within the larger network of Catholic Charities. They work to alleviate poverty and hunger in Baltimore City through a hot meals program, as well as job training and counseling services. A team of volunteers at Brown Memorial contributes casseroles every month to this cause.
